Reading a marina town before you enquire

Home berth, changeover day, and why a famous quay is not the same as a confirmed base.

Open coast and sea

A marina town is the start of the week, not the whole week. Göcek, Split, Amalfi, and Cannes do not behave the same way on a Saturday morning. Some are built for changeover. Some are small harbours that fill early.

In this preview the home marina is a label on a sample card. It tells you how the directory is organised. It does not mean a berth is waiting, and it does not mean the town in a photograph is that marina. Photographs are atmosphere. Place names are the data.

When you enquire later, ask who meets you, where the boat actually is, and what happens if the harbour is full. Those answers are not in the sample catalog.
